How do CFDs work?

The trader opens a position on a particular asset at a particular price and simply waits for the price to go either up or down depending on the trader’s own interest and then makes either profit or loss after the price changes. The main thing to keep in mind is that the trader does not own the asset, he/she only speculates on the direction of its price.
